Kawa Ni: Reviews & Ratings
One of the greatest happy hours in Westport. We have been coming here for years. Also the burger is absolutely amazing and Massimo the owner has figured out the formula with a few of his other restaurants. I recommend all of them !
Everything was perfect throughout this great experience and wonderful first time going to Kawa Nai. Food was delicious especially the yuzu cheesecake so very yummy. Service was superb. Had like three servings of dumplings I wish I had more. Looking forward to going back in the near future.
Kawa Ni Restaurant was absolutely delicious. We came with the kids and were pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions are. The kids’ ramen was huge—just broth and noodles, with the option to add fried chicken. We did, and it was fantastic: soft on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside. I ordered the kani salad, and wow—it was enormous and full of flavor. It tasted fresh, original, and so good that I’ll definitely be ordering it again. My husband got the scallop tamaki and initially questioned the price… until it arrived. The portion was massive and incredibly flavorful, with a great lingering taste. Totally worth it. I also had the Szechuan pork dumplings, which were very spicy and absolutely delicious. At that point, we really should have stopped eating…but we didn’t realize how big everything was and had already ordered ramen too. I had the pork garlic ramen, which was amazing, especially the soy egg. so yolky, rich and flavorful. My husband had the miso goma ramen. It was okay, but compared to everything else, it wasn’t our favorite. Either way, there was just way too much food to finish. My husband also ordered a Negroni. I don’t usually like Negronis, but I tried it and was surprised by how good it was. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was wonderful, and overall it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend. Just make sure you come hungry (or plan for leftovers!).
The food is incredible. The bar has a nice vibe with great selections. Every dish we had was unique and delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here all the time.
The food was great, the drinks were fantastic, our server Nancy made the whole experience extra special!
I come back again and again and am so happy with the service here. I’ve even taken my boss and a double date here because of how delicious it is! Next time I gotta make sure to buy some merch :) Waiters and bartenders are super friendly and the manager as well. There’s an automatic 20% tip included, but the staff really do deserve it for their great work. There was unfortunately an unexpected medical emergency last night with a patron but the staff handled it really well, they were swift and respectful. Photos of matcha tiramisu, kimchi carbonara, spicy lamb dan dan noodles and miso salmon bowl. The pork and garlic ramen bowl here is unmatched and the kimchi carbonara is such a creative and surprising delicious twist.
It was ok. The addictive Cabbage was fine to start. The roasted clams were a real shame. The topping had a weird too soft texture and there was too much of it covering the clam meat. The swordfish bao was very very good. The crab fried rice was tasty but I couldn't taste the crab. The ramen noodles were not springy and the broth was just ok. The service was prompt and perfect. the waiter even brought out a perfect pescatarian menu for my friend. Very nice people here. Edit: I forgot to mention, the food is probably perfect 10/10 if you're accustomed to salty food.
Ok, where do I even start with this spot!? Highly recommend making a reservation because they book up fast. Like one of Westport's hottest restaurants right now! The decor is a lovely authentic izakaya with the wood paneling and everything. It's a beautiful homage to Japanese culture. Ok now menu. Lunch there is great but recommend going for the dinner menu over anything to have more options! The addictive cabbage is just as it says, addicting. It's acidic, savory and has the perfect crunch to it. The crab Rangoons are sooo good. They give you plenty of sauce and you can tell it's the good crab. The cold sesame noodles are perfect! A little bit of heat, a bunch of flavor. I'm drooling just thinking about it! The chili dumplings were good but a little too spicy for me! We also really enjoyed the kimchi carbonara and personally, I'm a sucker for udon noodles! And now the star of the show for me and something I've ordered three times now! The crab fried rice! The crab is so tender and buttery, like it actually melts in your mouth. And the pork belly chunks in it, also tender and delicious. I like dream of this dish every week! And the great thing is you can order the half size during dinner so you can try other things too! This spot is in my top 5 for 2026 so far! Please go try them asap!
